Benelux

Benelux – is a shortened name for the customs and economic union of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, which is also acquiring the nature of a  military and political alliance.

Belgium is one of those small states known as the “workshop of Europe.” Belgians, however, consider their country to be “the heart of Europe”, and in fact, in ancient times this area was a crossroads of trade, which many neighbouring sovereigns dreamed of possessing.

The Netherlands have become famous for their tulips, mills, cheese and their unusual location. In addition, there is a large number of museums here. And all of them can be easily reached on foot.

Luxemburg is so small that on most maps of Europe, its name can’t fit within the borders of the country. But the country completely compensates for the insignificance of its size by the beauty of its landscapes, the richness of its history and its veritably European charm. Green landscapes of this country are cut by rivers and decorated with beautiful villages, as if straight from the pages of fairy tales.
