Becov nad Teplou
In the 13th century a family of landowners founded the castle Becov-nad-Teplou. The fortress was built in a Gothic style . It was situated on a trade thoroughfare and consequently played the important role of a customs post.
In the 15th century the fortress was given to gold industry magnates Plugs from Rabstein. They are famous for building the chapel of the Virgin Mary apparition. The chapel was erected in 1400 and nowadays it is possible to see ancient small paintings there which depict biblical stories.
