Krivoklat
Krivoklat chateau, one of the oldest and most famous hunters’ castles is situated 50 kilometres southwest of Prague, between Beroun and Rakovnik. The first records of Krivoklat date back to 1109. In the 13th century the king Vaclav started to erect a stone construction here. The chateau offers several observational places. In the picturesque vicinity of the castle one can find hiking and tourist cycling routes. In summer, one of the main water routes passes the Berounka river.
