Veltrusy
Veltrusy was the summer house of the Count Chotek family built on an isle on the Vltava river. This isle was transformed step-by-step into a large landscape park or so-called ornamental farm. In this place, you can find a flood-plain forest, a water channel with many of blind branches, an alley, sculptures, pavilions, fruit groves and a farm. Inside the Chateau you can find rich interiors with valuable wallpapers. Guided tours will also lead you into the kitchen garden and greenhouses with an originally preserved channel heating system and an assortment of historical flowers.
